A special thanks to Chattahoochee Baptist Church in Cleveland, Georgia for inviting me to share what God is doing through Helping Hands. Everyone was so welcoming and encouraging. I do pray God will enable us to partner and serve together one day. I will look forward to worshipping with you all again!

A Day at the Office

This week has been awesome! I was able to be a part of helping a team off to Uganda today. The second team this month PTL!!!

Packing 12 totes each weighing 49 lbs is a workout....who needs the gym? The team is going to do pastor training and while I was packing supplies I found some bags that can be used to pack the Study Bible, legal pad, pen, Spiritual Leadership book and conference handouts that will be given to all the pastors. Since they all either walk or ride bicyles I thought it would be great for them to have something to put their new supplies and resources in for a safe transport back to their village.

God knew those bags would be perfect for just this occasion so thanks to whoever donated the bags!

The next task will be acquiring needed supplies for future teams and I would love for you to join me. Please see the needs list I have created and let me know if you can help.

Zion Church in Cleveland Georgia

A special thank you to Zion Church for allowing me to share my ministry with them last night! First time I have spoken to a group since joining Helping Hands and everyone was very gracious and supportive. When God calls you to do a work He always provides the way and I am seeing that unfold each day.

A special thanks to my Aunt Juanita for working out the details and always making me feel like I am her favorite! It was also a special treat to see Mr. and Mrs. Skelton - my high school basketball team bus driver and his wife....good memories!

Welcome to my blog and thanks for following my journey. Why Crossing The Road? It all goes back to Luke 10:30-37. God commands us to be good neighbors and to help others. Over the last year I have been on a journey to discover what happens when you choose to Cross The Road and how it has changed my life.

I look forward to sharing my experiences and what I learned when willing to leave my comfort zone to serve others.
